Our Widnes Open Day is a Huge Success

Posted on 08 November 2016 in All news

We were excited to mark the one year anniversary of our new Widnes office last week by holding a celebratory Open Day. We wanted to give everyone the opportunity to meet us and find out what we do whilst at the same time raising some funds for a cause close to all our hearts – the Who Cares? Trust.

The Who Cares? Trust is a leading charity for making a difference to the lives and outcomes of children and young people in the UK living in care.

Our wide range of visitors – from local business people to public dignitaries such as the Mayor and Mayoress could meet, talk and be entertained by many well-known local celebrities.

Everyone had someone they wanted to meet:

We had some special guest visitors from the Widnes Vikings

We were spoiled with some fabulous entertainment from Kiera Weathers of X Factor fame.

We also had the chance to meet professional strongman Eddie Hall.

Earlier in the month, two of our intrepid team members, Paul Hoinville and Matt Robinson raised £660 by undertaking a sponsored sky dive. The Open Day raised plenty more. In addition to our on-the-day raffle, with prizes galore, our own Ged Dunn provided further entertainment when he allowed us to shave off his beard to raise further cash.

In all we have successfully secured an incredible grand total of £1450 so far for the Who Cares? Trust.

We’d like to thank everyone who has supported us and we look forward to updating you soon on future events.
