Patient Appointment Reminder
Missed hospital appointments are costing the NHS £790m a year. Each 'Do Not Attend' (DNA) costs on average £110 in wasted time.
Responses from GP practices across the UK show that 16-34 years olds were the most likely to repeatedly miss appointments. In all 20 million NHS appointments are missed across the UK each year.
Many surgeries (69%) believe that the main reason patients miss appointments is because they forget (DPP). Remind Patients provides a solution to this problem, which ensures that health establishments can remind patients about their appointments in time, and can obtain a direct response from the patient, which does not need a new telephone system, additional phone lines or a new computer.
By receiving a reminder 48 hours before their appointment, patients can notify the health organisation if they cannot attend. This means that other patients on the doctor's waiting list can be contacted in time and informed of a vacancy that has just become available.
