How Text Someone works

Data comes from incidents reported into the System

Text Someone runs from incidents being reported by text message, phone or online. Further information on an incident can be keyed directly into the system.

  1. Unique ID

Each school has a unique ID which the students use to send voice, text and online messages to the school.

  2. Message Alert

The messages from the students are received by the system and an automatic alert is sent to the main contact in school, informing them that messages have been left.

  3. Retrieve pupil messages

The school can then log into the Text Someone website and by going to the reports section, view the messages left.

  4. Adding notes

The school can then elect to reply to the message directly and add notes for other users on the message.

  5. Replying to pupil messages

The reply is received by the student via their mobile phone, or email, which allows a dialogue to start between the school and the pupil.

  6. Reviewing Reports

All these messages are stored on the Text Someone server and they are available as a ‘thread’ of messages for easy viewing.
