Contact Group, leading provider of communication, payment and data services for schools and local authorities, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the BETT 2015 Awards – ICT Company of the Year – Between £1m and 10m Turnover. Considered by many as the most esteemed accolade in the industry, the Bett Awards provide a showcase of resources and companies that seek to provide educators with the information, ideas and inspiration that are fundamental to the learning process.

A former BETT Award winner and Education Investor’s Technology Supplier of the Year, Contact Group has been driving change in the education market, revolutionising and improving the way local authorities, schools and parents communicate. It has developed a highly successful range of solutions which capture and also disseminate important information quickly via email, SMS, automated phone calls, secure websites and mobile apps. Most importantly it helps schools and local authorities to improve their efficiency and cut costs.

Its award-winning portfolio of products and services includes Text Someone, a powerful anti-bullying service that makes it easy for students to report bullying via text message and for schools to safeguard the welfare of students, and its Looked After Call service, designed to help Virtual School Heads in local authorities safeguard the welfare of looked after children (LAC) by capturing real-time data on LAC attendance and attainment and producing meaningful reports instantly. The BETT 2015 Awards – which will be hosted by Josh Widdecombe, Star of Channel 4’s ‘The Last Leg’, ‘Mock the Week’ and ‘Live at the Apollo – are scheduled to take place on Wednesday 21st January 2015 at The Brewery, London EC1Y.
